What's Inside?
The look of the bar on ground level is very urban, raw, industrial; with graffiti and stencil art featuring, and the walls in their original condition.
x&y is long and lean, with the bar itself a dominating fixture, made of recycled industrial palettes topped with stone and inlaid with stunning lighting design. There’s cool ‘spaces’ – cages – where you can sit back, or can stand and enjoy the music and the crowd. Downstairs is the x&y cocktail bar, very different, yet just as edgy and anti-establishment – think Thunderbirds meets James Bond circa 1970s. If the main upstairs bar is raw the downstairs bar is an escape; both vital to the transcape of the Valley.
“The first time we walked into 648 Ann Street we knew we had to maintain and showcase its history, its integrity, and its stories,”
